Your Score: English Adept

You scored 63 out of a possible 100 (minimum of -20).

Your understanding of English is solid. You miss a few errors here and there, but for general purposes, you're better than average. Still, better have someone double-check that rsum before you submit it!

Your Score: 8 - the Asserter

Thanks for taking the test !

you chose AY - your Enneagram type is EIGHT (aka "The Challenger").

"I must be strong"

Asserters are direct, self-reliant, self-confident, and protective.

How to Get Along with Me

  • Stand up for yourself... and me.

  • Be confident, strong, and direct.

  • Don't gossip about me or betray my trust.

  • Be vulnerable and share your feelings. See and acknowledge my tender,
    vulnerable side.

  • Give me space to be alone.

  • Acknowledge the contributions I make, but don't flatter me.

  • I often speak in an assertive way. Don't automatically assume it's
    a personal attack.

  • When I scream, curse, and stomp around, try to remember that's just
    the way I am.

What I Like About Being a EIGHT

  • being independent and self-reliant

  • being able to take charge and meet challenges head on

  • being courageous, straightforward, and honest

  • getting all the enjoyment I can out of life

  • supporting, empowering, and protecting those close to me

  • upholding just causes

What's Hard About Being a EIGHT

  • overwhelming people with my bluntness; scaring them away when I don't intend to

  • being restless and impatient with others' incompetence

  • sticking my neck out for people and receiving no appreciation for it

  • never forgetting injuries or injustices

  • putting too much pressure on myself

  • getting high blood pressure when people don't obey the rules or when
    things don't go right

EIGHTs as Children Often

  • are independent; have an inner strength and a fighting spirit

  • are sometimes loners

  • seize control so they won't be controlled

  • figure out others' weaknesses

  • attack verbally or physically when provoked

  • take charge in the family because they perceive themselves as the strongest, or grow up in difficult or abusive surroundings

EIGHTs as Parents

  • are often loyal, caring, involved, and devoted

  • are sometimes overprotective

  • can be demanding, controlling, and rigid

When I was about 8 years old, my Grandmother taught me how to knit. She was helping me make baby booties for my sister, but by the time we got about halfway through the first one, Jessica was far too big to wear the booties, and they got abandoned. Amazingly, I still have this half of a baby bootie. Oh yeah, and it's orange because that was my favorite color at the time and the only yarn we had around the house. ;)
Yes, it's really orange . . .Collapse )

Earlier this year, I picked up knitting again, and fell in love with it. I had forgotten how much I really enjoyed it, but I've been addicted since I picked up the needles. I've tried out a ton of "advanced" techniques, and can't wait to make more things - I have a lot of plans!

I'm also pretty proud of my knitting books too, and can't wait to make things from them. I have two more books - one is a knit stitch book and the other is a crochet stitch book, but I forgot to photograph them, and really? They're pretty average and boring to just look at if you're not wanting to find a stitch pattern.
But here are my pretty books . . .Collapse )

And of course I'm working on some new projects and they deserve showing off too!
Even more prettiesCollapse )

And one last thing . . .
The yarn I bought today!Collapse )

The Window Shopper
Random Gentle Love Dreamer (RGLDf)

Loving, hopeful, open. Likely to carry on an romance from afar. You are The Window Shopper.

You take love as opportunities come, which can lead to a high-anxiety, but high-flying romantic life. You're a genuinely sweet person, not saccharine at all, so it's likely that the relationships you have had and will have will be happy ones. You've had a fair amount of love experience for your age, and there'll be much more to come.

Your exact opposite:
The Stiletto

Deliberate Brutal Sex Master
Part of why we know this is that, of all female types, you are the most prone to sudden, ferocious crushes. Your results indicate that you're especially capable of obsessing over a guy you just met. Obviously, passion like this makes for an intense existence. It can also make for soul-destroying letdowns.

Your ideal match is someone who'll love you back with equal fire, and someone you've grown to love slowly. A self-involved or pessimistic man is especially bad. Though you're drawn to them, avoid artists at all costs.

Yay!
You scored as John Sheppard. Your counterpart is the laid-back Air Force Colonel, John Sheppard.
Your probably pretty laid back. Things don't usually ruffle your feathers. You're very protective of those you love, and are always there for your friends. You have adorable bed head and a lopsided puppy dog smile and a demeanor that makes you seem like you're always relaxing on a California beach.

Here's the things I made for the art meme! I was going to make all avatars, but Nessa's wouldn't cooperate, so it became a banner.
